Since March 27th, 2016, a group of ten Ede artisans from Ky Village, Thành Nhất Precinct, Buôn Ma Thuột City has come to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (VME) to repair the Ede long house that were re-erected at the open-air exhibition at the VME. The work includes making a new stair and replacing the wooden floors at the two ends of the house, the ridge of the housetop, and some section of the bamboo floor inside the house. As scheduled, the work will be finished at the end of April, 2016. This is a chance for visitors to directly exchange with the artisans to understand more about the techniques of building a traditional house as well as the Ede culture life in modern society.
