A training course on Museum and Heritage tourism


From the 3rd August until 9th August 2008 in Hoi An, Da Nang, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology cooperating with the Center for Research, Aid and Developing Culture (A&C) organize a traning course on “Museum and heritage tourism”.

          The lecture is Prof. Dr. Amareswar Galla from the University of Queensland in Australia, Vice-president of the International Council of Museums (ICOM).

          Participating in the course are 20 museologists from several museums in Vietnam and lectures from 2 universities of culture in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Student will be equipped perceptions and new concepts in order to promote the role of museums in the context that Vietnam possesses a great deal of potentials for developing heritage tourism.

          The course is organized as a part of the program “Summer schools, Researching and Practicing Museums”, in the project “Compiling the syllabus on Management of Culture and Arts (for undergraduate and short intensive course) and developing the syllabus for master’s programs”, funded by the Ford Foundation.
